Greetings from the Association for Indiana Music Therapy~
Being a member of our state association is as important as ever!
Membership benefits include quarterly newsletters, notification of news and events occurring in Indiana, support with public relations and government relations, continuing education, co-sponsorship opportunities with AIMT (with not-for-profit application in process), and networking opportunities.
AIMT realizes the difficult economic times we are all in and our membership dues remain the least expensive in the region! The membership form is available online. Please pass this information along to co-workers, employers, and colleagues who are not aware of membership opportunities with AIMT.
If you run a company or facility that employs a music therapist(s), you may want to become an Affiliate Member to obtain access to Member Only current information related to reimbursement of music therapy services, government relations information, and have your company website included with your music therapist(s) listed under our Find a MT-BC feature.
This “Member Only” section is accessed through the username and password information you will receive following the submission of your membership application once the new website is made live (early March 2010). This password will be good until the next membership cycle, at which time you’ll need to make sure your membership is current in order to receive the new password information. In addition, as a member, you’ll have access to the AIMT newsletter, links to resources, and other helpful information.
Another feature of this new website is the Find a MT-BC section under the About Us tab. This feature contains a state map where members and the general public can search for music therapists and companies providing music therapy services throughout the state of Indiana. If you are not currently listed and would like to be, please contact the president of AIMT to have your information added.
Please let the AIMT Executive Board know what would be of assistance to you as you learn more about music therapy, or as you continue your important work of serving clients in Indiana each day!
