AMTA OFFERS ASSISTANCE TO FLOOD VICTIMS

If you have been affected by the recent flooding, you can make a direct welfare inquiry to assess any immediate needs and find out the ins and outs of seeking assistance (typical Red Cross type information, referrals and psychological support). If there are numerous people affected, those persons can convene a conference call and go from there. Since the Gov. of Indiana declared a disaster in numerous counties, this opens the door to qualify for Federal assistance, where necessary.

Regards and be safe,

NEW AUTISM INFORMATION WEBSITE

Cathy Knoll, a board-certified music therapist who has worked since 1974 with individuals functioning on the spectrum of autism, and her son have put together a free web-based practical resource for caregivers - families, teachers, therapists, residential staff, medical professionals, and others. Take just a minute to check this out by clicking on faqautism.com

Subscribe to the daily podcast or just click on a topic that captures your attention so you can listen to short, 3 minute audio discussions about a variety of challenges encountered by folks diagnosed with autism and their caregivers. (Note from Cathy: Although we are just now officially launching this website, we are already high on the list of most popular podcasts about autism!)

Click on "Inside Autism" to meet some of Cathy's friends with autism and their family members, and to listen to their viewpoints and unique perspectives. Click on "In Depth" for longer discussions about specific challenging situations encountered by individuals diagnosed with autism.

By the way, the artwork on the website's logo is by one of Cathy's longtime students and the music at the end of each podcast is composed and performed by another friend. Both the artist and the musician are functioning on the spectrum of autism.
